We are proud to have raised over $3.4 million to provide shelter, counseling, legal aid, housing, and other essential resources for the women and children who need it most. Mid-Cities SOS members are invited to support various fundraising events and the collection of personal needs for women and children at SafeHaven. Additionally, members have the opportunity to volunteer at SafeHaven's Berry Good Buys resale store in Fort Worth and participate in Angel Tree projects. Volunteers play a crucial role assisting staff with tasks such as sorting, sizing, and pricing donations.
Financial support of SafeHaven of Tarrant County remains the number one priority of Mid-Cities SOS. Since 1986, Mid-Cities SOS has grown in membership and has provided financial support in excess of $3.4 million to SafeHaven of Tarrant County. Mid-Cities SOS generates much needed funding by hosting the annual Celebrity Chefs dinner, from local sponsors and from individual donors.
Clean out your closet by donating to Berry Good Buys, a local thrift store owned and operated by SafeHaven since 1988. Berry Good Buys resale store serves a vital role for SafeHaven clients who often give up everything to flee for safety. Donations of new and gently used clothing and household items stock the closets at SafeHaven emergency shelters to meet clients’ needs when they enter.
