About the Hats: Last year I knitted hats for my 4 grandkids. There is a limit to the number of hats they need but I enjoyed knitting them so much I continued to knit more. I have been knitting since I was 5 years old. I knitted various sizes of hats for both boys and girls using yarn that was left over from other projects – mixing all different colors depending on how much yarn I had. On a trip this summer to the high Canadian Arctic I knitted 10 hats!
At the October meeting they said there were 63 kids in the shelter. I have hats in different sizes for babies to 10 year olds. This November SOS meeting is the time to give them to the shelter as the “needs” are hats and gloves. I really hope the kids enjoy them. I have more yarn so can make more! (Submitted by Jean Dodds)
