In August, Market Street Corporate Chef Chris Wilson with the assistance of his wife Jennifer and Market Street employee Stephanie from the Frisco store delighted his Celebrity Chefs 2014 auction package winners Paul and Shelah Zmigrosky and Dan and Patty Shaw as well as their eight guests at the Zmigrosky home in Frisco. Since one of the guests required gluten-free options, Chef Chris developed a menu that easily accommodated the dietary restriction without sacrificing taste and the satisfaction of the other diners.
The first course featured Prosciutto wrapped Mozzarella with Balsamic Reduction and served with Chianti. Next, the diners enjoyed Market Street’s Tomato Basil Bisque with chives and gluten-free ciabatta bread topped with melted applewood smoked cheddar and paired with J Vineyards Pinot Gris.
The salad course featured baby kale, cherry tomatoes, and champagne grapes with a Parmesan sesame crisp on the side.
For the main course, Round Pond Cabernet Sauvignon was paired with Beef Tenderloin Marinated with Rosemary & Garlic and topped with Chimichurri sauce and served atop Parmesan potatoes and buttered white asparagus.
Chef Chris concluded his feast with Market Street’s Flourless Chocolate Torte, a standard offering in Market Street bakeries, and drizzled salted caramel and raspberries.
Chef Chris is returning for Celebrity Chefs 2015 on January 18 and the Zmigroskys and Shaws are conspiring to achieve a three-peat of their winning Chef Chris’s auction package.
