Market Street Corporate Chef Chris Wilson and his assistants Rob Bazewicz and Jennifer Ayres delighted diners at the home of Paul and Shelah Zmigrosky last weekend. Shelah and SOS member Patty Shaw had joined forces at Celebrity Chefs 2013 to win Chef Wilson’s Five Course Dinner for 8 auction package. The dinner party provided them an opportunity to introduce two other couples to the SOS annual Celebrity Chefs event.
Chef Wilson began the fun by pairing a Latin Chile Shrimp Cocktail with Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, a bottle fermented craft beer that even the non-beer drinkers at the party enjoyed! The diners were surprised to learn that the grilled shrimp in a citrus chile sauce is a standard offering at Market Street and pledged to look for it on their next shopping trips. Next, a Seared Ahi Avocado Stack was served with Market Street’s private labeled Chilean MontGras Sauvignon Blanc. Everyone agreed that they wanted to eat more, but with three more courses to go, thought it best to not over fill on this tasty dish. Chef Wilson’s delightful Salad Bouquet with mango, pistachios, and Ginger Mandarin Dressing was as delicious as it was beautiful. The main course featured a wonderfully flavorful and tender Beef Tenderloin Adobado with Chimmichuri complimented by grilled sweet potatoes, calbacin, nopales, and an Argentinian Malbec. Last but certainly not least, the diners enjoyed a salted caramel brûlée with charred pineapple and coffee.
As Chef Wilson excused himself and his staff after dinner, Patty pledged to give everyone a run for their money when bidding on his 2014 Celebrity Chefs auction package. The 2014 event date is January 19th, so mark your calendars!
