It’s autumn, a time when summer fades into fall, leaves burst into beautiful orange and gold colors and the kids have gone back to school. While we look forward to football and soccer games, carving pumpkins and drinking hot chocolate, there are others that are not so fortunate.
Fall becomes a powerful force in our lives. It affects the activities we do, the foods we crave, the clothes we wear — and quite often, the moods we are in. Some anticipate childhood memories shared, while others anticipate cold and hunger, and approaching winter.
There are mothers and families that share sad and frightening memories.
Did you know that?
• A woman is abused every 8 seconds?
• 60% of men, who abuse their spouse, abuse their children?
• 33% of women who suffer abuse are witnessed by at least one child?
