|L to R: August meeting speaker, Eric May, Director of SafeHaven Prevention Programs; Valarie Salter, SafeHaven Special Events Coordinator; SOS President Deanna Stuart; Reece Small, SafeHaven Vice President of Development & Marketing.|
Eric May’s program for the August General meeting was an energetic presentation of why programs about preventing bullying, teen dating violence and domestic violence are so important. One of Eric’s passions is educating area students through role playing so they are able to handle difficult and violent situations. Thank you, Eric, for your dedication to changing the lives of children in Tarrant County.
SOS members came through again for the kids at SafeHaven with lots of back to school donations. Thanks, everyone, for your generosity!
New, full color SOS membership directories were distributed at the August meeting by 1st VP – Membership, Patty Shaw. Copies will also be available at the September meeting. Great job, Patty!
